Hello world…and WordPress!

Well, I've finally taken the WordPress plunge.  I've dabbled in it off-an-on over the years and decided that now's the time to go dig deeper.

Part of what I really enjoy doing is the research into a given topic.  I'll research things to death...or so I hear.  I know I'm just starting to scratch the surface of WordPress and look forward to digging more into it.

I'm launching this domain as my personal site which will be used as a proving ground for my WordPress journey.  I've tried several different page builder tools with my local setup and based on my limited experience, exhaustive online research, and the advice of others I've made the initial decision to use Beaver Builder as my WordPress page builder tool.  It's very intuitive and easy to configure and get going.  I opted for the Pro version in order to get the Beaver Builder Theme which I'm using for this site.

I've never seriously considered a blog before.  I'm not even really sure where this will end up going so we'll just have to learn that together.  I look forward to this journey of learning WordPress and excited to see what the future has in store for how this powerful tool can be leveraged both personally and professionally.
